One more week of paradise until it's back to the Mainland!

as of today, we have one week until we go back home :( definitely a mix of feelings-it'll be so good to get back to life, Cafe Rio, Spoon Me, and the "USA" again (it feels like another country here cuz it's so laid back haha and i'm definitely feeling it-i want to just sit around doing nuttin!), but on the other hand we will miss the beach, BYU-Hawaii, friends, wonderful dorms :/, PCC, Poly boys of course (they are the REAL men haha what are we gonna do when we go back!? jk), Angel's ice cream, the CAF haha (i might go through blueberry bagel withdrawls or cut up pineapple or sack lunch specials-rice crispy treats, peanut butter crackers, nature valley bars, dry sandwiches with chips to cover up the sogginess, cut up carrots, oranges, and old bananas! not to mention cereal after EVERY meal!), and just being in HAWAII!! "Now this is Hawaii!" it's finally hit us, we are here and now we are leaving-where did those six weeks just go!? we went to class today and then hung out with Jake in Hale 2 lounge! after dinner, we Skyped Jen and Byron (miss them, but they will be home a couple days after us!), got ready and did some stuff, tried to longboard with Tauva, and then headed off to this private golf course along the beach with Jevan and Omrah! the stars are crazy here-there are soooo many and i forgot how much i love star gazing! we saw tons of shooting stars, with the sound of the ocean in the background haha ahhhh! we all squooze onto a blanket until Karl showed up with more! we fell asleep for a bit and then kept getting second winds to go do something! we took a little stroll down to the beach and then came back up and Alexis and Karl were gone, of course! haha we left them and headed home! it was a fun night and pretty sure we could listen to the NZ accents allllllll night :)

Raj and Marie are two of our favorite people here on campus! we love them to death and they make us laugh! today, we realized how similar, yet different their greetings always are haha.

same ol same except today we started testing for Weight training! yeah, our grade depends on how much we can lift haha kinda funny! but, we did good! after classes, we ate our lunch on the lawn, put some sticky notes on Marie's bike (the Pais Pais one gave it away! haha), and headed to the beach to catch some rays! Totally saw Kalani again :) ahhh! Chelle texted J for me and he still hasn't text her back hahahaha shoooot! jk he's probably just dancing away in his luau and night show! we walked the long walk back home and the security lady hunted us down cuz we (well Jaymee of all people haha) were NOT in standards! haha she pointed Jaymee out "especially," but was nice enough to give us a warning since we are "new!" we changed, went and got some grub (sloppy joes tonight and they were actually pretty good haha funny how now we eat anything cuz we've given up with the caf!), topped it off with some cereal, saw Raj (today he wasn't as chipper :( dang it!) talked about Piltzy-poo (he is being SOOOO strange so wit scared herself out of texting him to confront him about it all haha and Alexis talked to him earlier and he just kept saying "i'm not looking for a girl..."), did our D&C assignment (so easy i love it!), and got ready for the night! we couldn't find Tauva to see if going to the PCC was still on so we walked to Angel's and got an ice cream! of course, on our way there the silver hatchback pulls up and the girls get out haha we're trying to kill um with kindness but they don't like us very much! we saw George (beautiful voice! ahhh) in Angel's with two other girls and once we came in and said hi the one girl made them go outside haha i think they hate us cuz our skin haha lil bit of a barrier i guess. or the blonde hair haha wit's roommate thinks her hair looks like "Barbie hair!" we came home and sat on the corner-naturally hahaha jk cuz our "plans" fell through not finding Tauva and the boys too tired to come so we talked and played the "spelling a word with your butt game!" Marie was the best at it! Jake came and joined us-still no text but Chelle talked to him and he is soooo bashful i love it! haha and, Wesley drove by honked, and stopped to talk for a sec (Jaymee's heart dropped hahaha), and travis rode by on his bike! wow, with our luck! haha Tauva rode past on her bike too and we talked to her about going into the PCC and she is a little rebel-you can tell she's thought this one through haha i'm excited to "ride the canoes through the tunnels" she says! ahhh glorious night! and, Kylie had a good one with Jin! :) even though we're "2-6" (definitely should've taken the Hukilau offer on the bike ride with "Shark boy" hahaha jk jk), Alexis is still holding strong and keeping us "alive!" Piltz is OUTTA the picture now-we don't speak his name haha on our way to the beach earlier, we talked about how we have probably forgot how to drive cuz it's been so long and we're probably going to speak broken English! haha all this Pigeon is getting to us! The "Shaka" according to Wikipedia!

One theory, credits the gesture to Hamana Kalili of Laie, who lost the three middle fingers of his right hand while working at the Kahuku Sugar Mill. Kalili was then shifted to guarding the sugar train, and his all-clear wave of thumb and pinkie is said to have evolved over the years into the shaka. haha so the story is true! The shaka sign was popularized among locals in Hawaii through its use by second-hand car salesman Lippy Espinda in his television commercials, which were broadcast throughout the state in the 1960s. It was adopted as a salutation of friendship by the local culture at large from then on. Hawaiian locals use the shaka to convey what locals in Hawai'i call the "Aloha Spirit," a gesture of friendship and understanding between the various ethnic cultures that reside within Hawai'i. Depending on context it can also be used to communicate notions such as "all right," "cool," "smooth," and the like. Residents of states other than Hawaii who use the shaka may describe it as meaning "hang loose." It can also be used to signal "hello," "goodbye," " till next time," "take care," or "all right!"

And, according to Chase Carlston the shaka can be categorized into four different categories: "normal shaka," "mini/midget shaka," "medium shaka," and "large shaka!" haha

another GREAT day at the PCC! i mean, when is it NOT a great day when it's at the PCC? haha the employee's probably think we're crazy-they're all our fellow school mates and look at us like what are you doing here AGAIN! haha just trying to use our "season passes" the best we can is ALL! haha we woke up this morning, went to Hula and learned another dance about sea-flowers or something! fixed my iPhoto finally-phew! all those pictures lost would've been a disaster! we went to D&C (said bye to Sister Barksdale-really going to miss them :( haha we'll definitely have to go visit them in Orem they said!) we went to the PCC and watched the canoe show and the Hawaiian village presentation. We said hi to Kylie at her new work: the concession stand! we got tickets for the Gateway dinner-employee discount cuz of Witney! we went back to the caf for just a lil appetizer haha and then to the Gateway for dinner! it was pretty good, but NO Tarro rolls :( we asked a buser to get us some and he brought back a plate from another luau! Mmmmm! we had a little talk and then went to the night show-ahhhh it never gets old, only better and beter! it was Piltz and Karl's nights off, so i guess we'll just HAVE to go again! haha gladly. we came home and talked on "the corner!" Hot-Rod came by and actually talked more than five words to us-pretty cute and Henry came by and TALKED our ears off haha he is a crack up! he borrowed Wit's bike, sang "breathe of life" (THE opening and closing song to the night show!) to us, and even gave us a little "real" Tongan Chyeaaaaah! haha now, we are confined to the room doing some "homework" for New Testament!

So, we all posted our FB status today as CRUNCH TIME. cuz, that is exactly how we feel this week-last full one, so we're trying to fit everything in and make the best of it! :( ahhhh today was pretty good! we went to breakfast-cereal is running out of "style" quickly! we went and did a little weight training and then off to New Testament-soooooo done with classes it's not even funny! we ate our sacked lunches on the lawn and then checked our mail! i got a letter and a package from my mommy with Girl scout cookies, a magazine and letter, and giant marshmallows-kinda random! haha we let Jaymee go do her own little thing-she is becoming so independent we are proud mother's! :) haha she had to go figure out everything about staying here, so me and Chelle went and played a couple games of tennis-it was sooooo hot, but it felt so good! she won, of course! we came back and signed up for classes for BYU provo and NSO Y-group leader-it's going to be so weird going back, but we're kinda excited too! we sat around and Alexis and Wit came and joined in with us! we headed to Subway for dinner, got some FHE supplies at Foodland, and then had to get a quick soft-serve ice cream from Angel's for the walk home of course-we were thinking that's why it always goes so much quicker going home cuz we always get ice cream! haha we got ready and then headed to FHE!!!! for the lesson, we passed around papers with our names on it and drew something that reminded us of that person and then wrote something that reminded us of them! haha it was good! Jaym had the game and so we tried to get the oreo cookies from the forehead to the mouth and everyone got a kick out of it! she was stressing afterwards, but it went well!! haha afterwards, Chase started teaching us how to "break dance!" yeah, think that kinda shot down the crush haha he was so funny though! we ended up on the corner... naturally-opposite side this time cuz T-white and Tavida were supposed to meet Wit to go to Hukilau at the other side (what, does he think he can just go for her now?? hahahaha jk jk!) we were just talking and of course Jevan just happened to walk past! he was so cute and nice to just stay and talk with us! we played "Down by the banks..." another time and "Would you rather?" of course! we planned a camping trip for Friday and then Tauva rode past on her bike and was being her funny self haha she told us she could get us into the PCC on Wednesday night when she works as dispatcher, so we're excited for that-man, we have the "ins and outs" with the PCC! Jake said he'd give us the "private backstage tour" of the stage and now Tauva said she'd let us sneak in at night-privileged! after Jevan left, and Alexis to go with her boy Carl (yeah, already "wooed" him in too! haha maybe she needs to teach us her mad skills!), we started making a "game plan!" Alexis will get Wit's back (P-diddy), Chelle will get my back (J), Wit will get Chelle's back (JV), and Jaymee gets leftovers she feels like hahaha jk she will play it by ear! I.G.Y.B. we decided there is four options with why Piltz is being sooooo weird to Wit: 1.) his NZ girl's are threatening him. 2.) he is way too shy. (more like bashful!) 3.) he is an ALIEN. 4.) he is homosexual. she's even considering if her kiss was not good enough for him, but i mean how can a PECK be so bad haha i think there is a "skin barrier" maybe. we're too white. "Summer lovin, not happenin so fast... met a boy, cute as can be. met a girl, CRAZY for me!!!!" haha basically says it ALL! it's like a role reversal here. this is SO not like us haha but i think this Poly fever is getting to us! i've always had a weakness for them, but here it is times a MILLION. especially at the PCC-dance and attire hahaha jk! all i can say is this week is going down. meet me at the caf, is going down. meet me at the beach, is going down. meet me anywhere, is guaranteed to going DOWN! BFF.

TTTAAAUUUVVAA!

Tonight the caf was OUT THE ROOF! haha the food.... ughhh not so much-rice, carrots, and pineapple seemed DECENT and then i went in for some cereal to top it off and the milk was SOUR! grrrrr how bad can the dang cereal get haha c'mon people! they won't use the huge toaster, so you have to wait forever for the little one to do the job-gosh why is life SO hard! haha jk but anyway, after eating what we could without loosing too much of our appetite, we sat around for another hour or two-Sunday's-the caf is where everyone is! haha Raj came and sat down by us-totally made our whole dinner! he asked us what the "secret to our happiness" was haha we were like, "You Raj!" cuz it's true! ahhh love that kid! he teased Wit about being her dad cuz she asked if he was her dad, what she would be named haha when she asked where he was from he just said, "You should know where your father grew up!" and then gave her a couple options to choose from-India it is! haha he is soooo funny! we need to record him for keepsakes! all the sudden, Fehe got up (and Henry) and came and sat right by Alexis! hahahaha ahhhh we all about lost it! after the not-so-romantic creepy night the other night, we can't take it! haha Henry kept talking away like usual and Jaymee overheard him say to Fehe, "Hey isn't that Tavida's girl?" about me--ahhhhhhh i am known as Tavida's a.k.a. "shark boy's" girl in their little Tongan colt??? wow, no wonder Hot-Rod is being so weird, haha jk! Piltz came in-didn't say a word, of course! finally, after a couple hours we left for the fireside! it was a marriage "panel!" with some older couples! haha a couple of them were hilarious-we were about to die laughing-those older Poly couples are so funny and outspoken! there was another couple that seemed kinda "hillbilly-ish" and they were funny and cute too! they served a full on dinner for refreshments-curry and dessert! we went to Chelle's Hale prayer and then met up with Jake, Tauva, and Yao-and Anthony showed up midway! Tauva had cards and we played speed, talked, played a funny animal sign game, and then played "Down by the banks...." of course haha it's a classic-we've played it so many times here! Jake won my heart over again and AGAIN with his little mischevious smile and NZ accent! he was so fun to talk to-we all just broke down to him about our "luck!" haha and of course Jevan and C.C. both just happen to walk by! and, don't worry that he told us where Piltz's room is exaclty and on our way home we went and tried to find it by looking in the windows-if we would've got caught i would've died haha we decided we'll move "our corner" spot to the curb right outside his window-not creepy at all! haha we made some fun plans for this week and i have a feeling most of our time will be at the PCC NZ village or just watching the canoe and night shows over and over again! Jake said he'd give us the "private tour" of backstage haha so we are going to take him up on it! it's going to be a GREAT week!
